This well renound Gaelic Football Club was established in 1932, with an array of members based in South London.
Round Towers will be playing Division 1
football again next year after beating Dulwich Harps by 3-16 to 2-13 in the AIB Division 2 league final at McGovern Park, Ruislip.
Reflecting back on the achievement of winning the Division 2 league title and gaining promotion
back to Division 1 brings great joy in that we had players from the following variety of counties represented in our league panel - Kerry, Wicklow, Donegal, Mayo, Sligo, Tipperary, Antrim, Down,
Roscommon, Kildare, Clare, Dublin, Tyrone, Mayo, Fermanagh, Cavan, Westmeath and we also had 7 London born players represent us which is fantastic.
Round Towers GFC would like to thank all our supporters, friends and the many volunteers who have helped & supported us this year as without them we would really
struggle - our success on the field is because of you and we look forward to your continued support as the championship season is soon upon us.
A very special thanks to our kind
sponsors O’Halloran & O’Brien & Whelans Pub group for there much needed support to date - without there continued support we would be nothing!
In the Senior Championship, Towers qualified from their group to reach the semi-finals, where they were defeated by Fulham Irish, thus ending the championship
hopes for another year.
The Reserves were narrowly defeated in the League final by Parnells. In the championship the Reserves lost out to Brendans in the group stages to progress to semi final by the narrowest of
margins
Towers Ladies had a brilliant 2018, securing the London County title in their second year since forming in 2016 winning a well fought game against Kingdom Kerry Gaels. They reached the All Britain
Championship Semi Final but lost out to strong Dunedin Connolly team from Edinburgh. They were defeated in the league final by a strong Parnells team but overall this was an amazing achievement for
the club after only the second year.
However, none of this would have been achievable without the support of our amazing sponsors Cappagh. All of the team are very grateful and appreciative of the generous sponsorship which enabled
Round Towers Ladies to purchase jerseys, hoodies and t-shirts. Without their support this would have been impossible.
The focus now turns to the 2019 season - we are always recruiting and all abilities are welcome. For more information, email roundtowersladies@outlook.com or follow us on Twitter @TowersLadies.
