The 2017 Dinner Dance took place on 25th November 2017 in the Croydon Park Hotel. Thanks to all who attended.
On Friday 11th November, nine Round Towers lads and a female loanee from Croydon Camogie Club represented the Towers in a White Collar Boxing fight night against southern invaders in the form of the Australian Rules football team Wandsworth Demons.
Thanks to everyone who attended, sponsored, helped to organise, participated or had any involvement whatsoever in what was a great night's craic and a very good fundraiser for the club.
Photos and videos will follow.
The Round Towers representatives were -
Thank you to everyone who supported our golf day, both participants and sponsors.
The winners were as follows -
Best Golfer - Gerard McGowan
Winning Team - Neil English and James Ridge
2nd Place - Conor Hannify and Shinners
Thanks to all who have entered our Last Man Standing Competition. We had a total of 158 participants vying for the £500 prize. After 11 weeks we ended with four people sharing the pot - Cathal Cuinnea, Cathal O'Grady, Ian Hurley and Timmy O'Donovan all took home £125 each.
Thank you to all that participated. We will be looking to relaunch in August so keep an eye out!
A motley crew of Round Towers players and affiliates travelled to Dingle, Co Kerry on the weekend of 20th February 2016 for the annual Paidi O'Se tournament. Although they didn't win the tournament, they did leave their mark on the town and surrounding areas. Pictural evidence of their trip is included below, which showcases that sleeping, surfing and supping were the main activities (in that order), with a little bit of football thrown in.
Congratulations to the lads on ending the year with some silverware after defeating the Wandsworth Demons 71 - 37 in the annual International Rules Cup. This is now the 4th consecutive year the boys have won this, and will be looking to push for 5 in a row next year.
Man of the match was Gerard Cunniffe, shown below receiving his man of the match award from Chairman Tom Fitzgerald. Captain Cathal Cuinnea is also in shot with the trophy, with Joe Coyle looking on.
A massive thank you to everyone who performed, judged, sponsored, helped organise and run and turned up to watch Towers Got Talent on Saturday 20th June 2015. It was a brilliant night's craic and a great fundraiser for the club.
We will keep our dedicated Towers Got Talent page on the website on which we will be uploading videos and photos from the night, so that people may re-live it (or live it for the first time for those who missed out on attending on the night!).
Once again, many thanks to everyone who played any part whatsoever in the event.
Congratulations to Darren McKillion, who has won our first game of Last Man Standing, and pockets a cheque for £500 as presented to him by Chairman Tom Fitzgerald.
Thanks to everyone who took part and for helping to raise funds for the club. We hope to be able to call on your support for the 2015/16 Premier League season when Last Man Standing will return.
Congratulations to Michael Murtagh, who has won our first game of Last Man Standing, and pockets £300. Tom Fitzgerald hands over the cheque to Michael below.
